DR. JAMIE DUGGAN
Dr. Jamie Marie Duggan is a licensed psychologist and a graduate from the School/Applied Child Psychology program at McGill University. Her clinical and research interests include emotion regulation, body image, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anxiety and depression among adolescents and young adults. Jamie has worked in various clinical settings over the past decade, including hospitals, specialized educational settings, and private clinics in Montréal. Jamie is a member and in good standing with the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec.
Jamie is experienced in cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural skills training, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Jamie has presented at numerous national conferences and published articles in the Canadian Journal of Counselling and Psychotherapy, Psychiatry Research, and School Mental Health.
Jamie aims to incorporate her passion for the mind-body connection into her therapeutic approach. Jamie also enjoys practicing yoga and writing children’s books, and recently self-published “Let’s Go Surfing! A Child’s Guide to Coping with the Ocean of Emotions”.
Jamie prides herself on developing a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. Her empathetic nature and respect for her client’s individual stories and resiliency are evident in her therapeutic approach and daily practice.
