Parenting Kids with ADHD – A Flight Plan for Big Feelings

Let’s be honest — parenting a neurodivergent kid is a whole different flight path. The emotions are big. The transitions are hard. And sometimes the smallest things (like the wrong colored bowl or a missed turn during a board game) can completely derail the day.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re trying to co-pilot an emotional airplane mid-turbulence — without a map — you’re not alone. And you’re not doing it wrong.

That’s why we created: Parenting Kids with ADHD – A Flight Plan for Big Feelings.

This isn’t a lecture. It’s not a webinar where you sit and nod politely. It’s a space — warm, supportive, and real — where we walk through what it means to parent ADHD kids with calm, connection, and tools that actually make sense in real life.

✈️ Why “Flight Plan”?

Because kids with ADHD don’t always have the internal “air traffic control” that helps with emotion regulation, impulse control, and transitions. So when their feelings hit — they hit hard. Your job? To be their calm co-pilot, helping them ride out the turbulence and land safely.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up — and learn how to be steady, even when things feel messy.

What You’ll Walk Away With:

  • A better understanding of how ADHD actually works (and why “just try harder” doesn’t work)

  • Co-regulation tools for when their emotions are too big to manage alone

  • Validation skills that help them feel seen — without reinforcing the chaos

  • DBT-based emotion regulation and distress tolerance strategies

  • Ways to build routines and rhythms that work for ADHD brains

  • Scripts and phrases for when your kid says “I don’t know” but something’s clearly up

  • A chance to connect with other caregivers who get it

Who It’s For:

Parents, guardians, and caregivers of kids ages 6–12 with ADHD (diagnosed or suspected).

If your child is intense, sensitive, easily dysregulated, and wildly creative — this is for you. If you’ve tried everything and still feel stuck — this is also for you.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to care. We’ll figure the rest out together.
